Maybe you have followed me for a while and you have learned what me and my team do day in and day out — content repurposing. Maybe you are new to our page and you are just learning about repurposing.

Either way, one question that is probably in your mind is, “Do I even create enough content to hire someone to repurpose it?” This is a valid question, and it is true that content repurposing isn’t right for every business all the time.

Are you interested in learning more about what Power Creative Media can do for your business? Keep reading to find out if content repurposing is right for you.

Knowing When Repurposing Isn’t Right For You

There are a few reasons why repurposed content might not be a good fit for you and your business. Maybe you don’t have the money to invest or maybe you haven’t been in business for long enough to have your content buckets and ideal client figured out.

If you want to read more about when NOT to repurpose your content, check out this blog post!

What Kinds of Content Do We Repurpose?

At Power Creative Media, we do one thing. We repurpose content. It is our only focus. But what kinds of content do we repurpose for our clients? If you are the primary face and voice of your business (for example, you are a business consultant, not a pharmacy), then odds are you have content we can work with.

Podcasts and Videos

Podcasts and videos are a treasure trove of content. Seriously. We can make over 50 pieces of micro-content from one hour of audio or video.

Podcasts, videos, and interviews are a great way to establish yourself as an expert in your field. But there are some people in your following who aren’t interested in listening to an entire podcast episode.

We turn the best pieces into audiograms and video clips and pull out amazing quotes to turn into quote cards.

Books and Blogs

If you aren’t a public speaker, that is fine. We also repurpose written content. Finding key quotes and creating written posts that engage your audience, add value to your message, and promote your business.

We can make enough content to fill an entire month of social media activity (and we can schedule the posting for you too!).

Getting Started with Repurposing Content

If you don’t know about hiring a service like Power Creative Media for your content repurposing, start by giving small assignments to your VA (or do it yourself!). Take one video you have made and try to make five pieces of micro-content from it.

Here are a couple of ideas:

  • Important quotes can be turned into quote cards on Canva
  • You can come up with engagement questions for captions that tie into what you say in the video
  • Pull out your favorite audio or video clip to turn into an Instagram post

These are just a few ideas to get you started. If you don’t have a lot of content yet, this can be a great exercise for dipping your toes in and seeing the benefits of repurposing.

How Much Content Do I Post?

Considering that social media and content repurposing is my area of expertise, it would kind of hypocritical if I wasn’t posting as much as possible. Right now, I make a video a day, anywhere between five and ten minutes long.

Once I have made this video, my team repurposes it into a blog post, an email, written posts for social media, and more. Then they schedule when the video will be posted along with all of the repurposed content.

You don’t need to be posting a video every day in order to work with Power Creative Media. But how much content do you really need to be making to make repurposing worth the investment?

Are You Creating Enough Content to Get it Repurposed?

Odds are — YES. If you have established your message and your ideal client, and you are making at least one video a week (10–15 minutes long), then you have enough content for repurposing.

You don’t have to make a video a day, or have a regular podcast, or publish a book in order to have your content repurposed. You just need to know what your message is, know if repurposing is right for you and your business, and be making some regular content each week.

My team at Power Creative Media does this all for our clients. We have turned podcasts, blogs, books, and videos into thousands of pieces of short-form content for our clients. If you think you are ready to send your content to my team for repurposing, head over to our website to book a call.
