This is a pretty common question. Whether someone is looking to spend more time on their own social media (investing their time and effort) or they are looking to hire someone else to do it for them (investing their money), everyone wants to know if it is worth the trouble.

The short answer? Yes.

The long answer? Keep reading to find out.

Whatever Works is Worth It

If you get the results that you want, then it is worth the time, effort, and money.

For a lot of people, the results that they are looking for are going to come from a strong social media presence. But first you have to recognize that you are going to need to invest your own time or hire someone else in order to make it happen.

If Something Isn’t Working, You Can Tweak It or Stop

If you are doing a bunch of research on social media marketing, you might be at a point where you have realized that what you have done up until this point hasn’t worked.

That is okay! As long as you don’t keep doing that thing.

There are so many social media platforms, all of which are changing all the time. You are going to try things that don’t work. That is a given.

But all of the effort is worth it if you course-correct and learn from your mistakes.

Learn to Do Something The Right Way

You aren’t going to see the full potential of something unless you give it a fair shot. If you are trying to use social media marketing on Instagram to book more discovery calls, then you have to go all in.

You won’t know what you need to quit and what you need to continue doing if you don’t follow through and document your results.

Social media marketing is worth it if it is done right. Just posting a bit and then leaving your account for months isn’t going to help you. People will look you up and see that you are inactive and write you off before you ever get to talk with them.

Develop Your Cornerstone Content

Using social media to develop your cornerstone content is what will make your efforts worth it.

Develop content that answers the main questions people have for you. Include calls to action, educate your audience, and center it all around the core beliefs and values of your business.

Without regular content like this, social media marketing won’t do you any good.
